Retro thrash bands are a dime a dozen, but Nylithia have achieved the remarkable feat of sounding genuinely different.
There is a nice juxtaposition of the brutal and technical branches of the thrash family on display here.
Vocals and rythym have flashes of S.O.D. style crossover and Holy Moses style German brutality, while the riffing and soloing are more reminiscent of the technicality of later 80s bands like Toxik and Heathen.
And yet, the sound is unmistakably 21st century.
